There are almost no words: these are highly-possibly the most hideous running shoes I have ever seen. Even the toned-down black-and-gold version doesn’t help these sea creature-like contraptions. Sweating is unattractive enough; don’t you at least want to try to look cute while doing it? Now I know Vibram’s FiveFingers (even the name creeps me out!) KomodoSports are supposed to be good on the foot joints, reducing friction, offering the fitness lover grip and protection, and emulating the bare foot without injury risk. And perhaps these are the most comfortable things your toes have ever felt. I’m not a serious runner, so I have no idea if these are indeed worth the eyesore, but based on aesthetics, I’d say run far, far away from these. I have no intention of finding out, so tell me, what do you think of these trainers? At Vibram Five Fingers for $100.
