Like Wall Street firms, Giuseppe Zanotti is supposed to be too big to fail, but we saw how that worked out, and I’m afraid Giuseppe is seeing now, too. Wedge sneakers with color-blocking and paneling – there are just too many trends on this one little shoe. Trends are not like Pokemon – you don’t have to catch them all, in fact, it’s safest to start with one (do you really want to look back in 15 years, and see that you were wearing these?). I mean laces and zippers – how many ways do we need to keep the shoe on us?? A lot really since these make me want to hop out and run away! The trendy new take on casual footwear can be a real eye sore if the color isn’t muted enough, and there’s nothing muted about the rainbow here. I really, really love wedge sneakers, but this is a shoe that I just cannot put my foot into. To each her own, though! What do you think of these colorful kicks? Snob or slob?
